The Dolby VR player for MacOS has powerful functionality for using a 'Magic Window' to audition panning without the use of a headset but it can also be used with an Oculus DK2 (Development Kit) headset. This allows a Mac user to experience their content in VR while working on their Mac with Pro Tools. As this is a development kit it's steps to operation are less streamlined than a commercial release but following the step below will allow you to get up and running.
The Oculus DK2, like the CV1 requires your Mac to have and HDMI port alongside of a spare USB port.
